On behalf of the MDSL Committee please allow me to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. This newsletter will be the last one this year and with the first part of the season drawing to a close I would like to thank you all in making my job easier by getting your results in on time.
We have received a number of comments regarding persons doing the scorebooks being unable to see how many pins have been scored. This is mainly because of players sitting at tables that are close to the edge of the alley. Could we ask that where applicable, teams move tables/chairs away from the alley (by a few feet) so that the book markers have a fair chance of seeing the knocked down pins. Some boards are also a little difficult to read, if teams could improve on them it would help all concerned thank you.
Ladies Section
Congratulations to Rita Ramsey (Nomads) for winning the first competition of the season and Mrs S Kearns (Liberal Castaways) Runner up in the Captains Cup played on 10/11/18 at the Liberal Club. I hope everyone who was able to attend enjoyed the night.

In accordance with rule : Games should be played within 21 days of the original play date or by the end of the 21 days, have at least a set date for when the game will be played. Fixture secretary MUST be informed of this date.

I understand these Newsletters are long but personally being a Captain myself, I think it is extremely important that I give you all information as soon as possible. It is also really important that your games are played by the set round dates, especially in the later stages of the cup round with Finals coming up. Please don’t wait until the play by date to arrange the game, do it now if you can. If you are having trouble getting an alley please inform me ASAP thank you.
