Ladies Section
6 teams did not return their forms in time to be counted for the Ball/Foot line vote.
With the results that I have received all counted up, the result is that we remain with the Ball Line rule.
A reminder below of a previous rule clarification we sent out earlier in the season.
To clarify the rule ”the player’s feet must be behind the ball line when throwing the ball and the ball must be grounded before it crosses the ball line”.
We suggest the following clarifications may help.
Captains should discuss prior to the game whether they wish to appoint a line judge.
Any ball thrown on or over the line should be treated similarly to a ball which has hit the side runners i.e. Pins knocked down are replaced and the ball is not thrown again.
If a line judge is not in place then any dispute must be agreed between captains at the time of the incident.
Teams should be aware that for Ladies Semi Final and Finals of KO competitions a line judge will be provided by the Committee.
